Geological drill core laid out for logging during mineral exploration

Mining and Exploration in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Afrimet Global Resources pursues mining, exploration and project-development opportunities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, progressed with technical and financial partners under Congolese law, permitting requirements and independent verification.

Focus

Where the work is concentrated

The DRC hosts some of the most significant copper, cobalt, tin, tantalum and hard-rock lithium geology in the world. Afrimet Global Resources concentrates its mining and exploration attention on the Copperbelt in the south-east and the Manono pegmatite corridor in Tanganyika Province.

Activity is opportunity-led rather than asset-led. We identify targets, assess the legal and technical basis on which they can be advanced, and progress only those where documentation, permitting and partner capability line up.

No statement on this website should be read as a claim of ownership over a concession, licence or mineral right, nor as a representation of production capacity or mineral availability.

Approach

How a project is advanced

Identify

Target generation from geological setting, historical data and partner introductions, with legal title and standing checked before any spend.

Assess

Sampling, mapping and metallurgical testwork by independent parties, so results can be relied on by third parties.

Structure

A written agreement defining scope, funding, obligations, permitting responsibility and each party's rights.

Develop

Staged progression against agreed milestones, environmental and community obligations and applicable Congolese law.

Project types

Greenfield, brownfield and concession development

Greenfield opportunities are early-stage ground where target generation, sampling and mapping establish whether a project merits further work. Brownfield opportunities carry previous work, existing infrastructure or historical production that can shorten the path to a decision.

Concession development covers the work of moving a mineral opportunity toward a commercially viable mining project — legal review, technical assessment, funding structure and the partner capability required to operate it.

Technical, equipment and processing partnerships sit alongside this: plant and machinery, metallurgical and processing capability, and operating expertise contributed under an agreed commercial structure.

Discipline

What we verify before progressing

  • Legal standing of the rights holder and the authority under which they act
  • Permitting status and the obligations attaching to it
  • Independent geological and metallurgical evidence rather than vendor summaries
  • Environmental and community requirements applying to the site
  • Counterparty identity, beneficial ownership and sanctions screening
  • Route to market: logistics corridor, export formalities and realistic offtake

Capability

Equipment, processing and operating capability

Moving a project from assessment to production needs earthmoving capacity, processing capability, power and water solutions, maintenance support and a workforce trained to operate them safely. Few opportunities arrive with all of that attached.

Afrimet Global Resources brings equipment providers, processing specialists and operating partners into a project under an agreed commercial structure, so the capability gap is closed contractually rather than assumed away.

Where a partner supplies plant or machinery, responsibility for maintenance, spares, uptime and safety compliance is written into the agreement alongside the commercial return.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does Afrimet Global Resources own mining licences?

We do not claim ownership of concessions, licences or mineral rights on this website. Where a specific interest exists it is disclosed with documentation that a counterparty's own advisers can verify.

Do you publish resource or reserve estimates?

No. Any technical statement about a project would come from an independent competent-person report, reviewed directly by the counterparty, not from marketing material.

How does a technical partner engage?

Through the strategic partnership route, with a defined scope, mutual due diligence and a written agreement before any field or commercial activity.
