Copper Cathodes
Copper Cathode Supply and Offtake Enquiries
Cathode enquiries are handled as a dedicated commercial process: written specification, independent inspection, agreed Incoterm and an executed contract before any value moves.
Product
What buyers should specify
A cathode enquiry becomes workable the moment it is specific. Grade basis, quantity per shipment, delivery cadence, destination, weighing point and Incoterm answer most of the commercial questions before pricing is ever discussed.
Afrimet Global Resources does not represent standing stock and does not quote guaranteed monthly tonnage. Availability is confirmed against a specific transaction with the relevant partner, and every term becomes binding only in the executed contract.
Intermediaries are welcome to enquire, but the end buyer must be identifiable and screenable before terms are issued.

Handling
From warehouse to weighing point
Cathode bundles are strapped, marked and stored ahead of loading, with lot identity carried through to the inspection certificate. The weighing point, sampling method and the party performing them are named in the contract rather than settled after loading.
Export, customs and origin documentation is prepared to the requirements of the country of export, and corridor and freight arrangements are confirmed against the agreed Incoterm.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What cathode grade is discussed?
Enquiries are usually framed at Grade A / 99.99% Cu basis. The applicable standard, brand acceptability and tolerances are confirmed per transaction and written into the contract.
Do you hold cathode stock?
No. We do not represent standing stock or guaranteed monthly tonnage. Volume is confirmed against a specific transaction with the relevant partner and becomes firm only in an executed contract.
Which Incoterms apply?
The Incoterm is agreed per transaction and stated in the contract, which also allocates freight, insurance, duties and official charges.
How is weight and quality verified?
By an independent inspection company appointed under the contract, weighing and sampling at the contracted point. Settlement follows those results.
